NOFA RI On-Farm Workshop: Storage Carrots

Amy and Andrew Smith of The Local Patch will host a morning discussion of everything storage carrots. They’ll explain the step-by-step process, from staling a seed bed, successional seeding in July, to irrigation, weeding, maintenance and a dig. After the carrots are out the of the ground, the farmers will demonstrate the wash and prep process using their new barrel washer. Light fare will be provided.

RIASLA’s Executive Committee invites landscape architects and affiliated professionals to submit projects that exemplify leadership, innovation, and excellence in the stewardship, planning, and design of our natural and cultural environments.

Join the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (RIASLA) for an on-site sketching event at the newly improved India Point Park. This event offers a unique opportunity to sketch the urban landscape and engage with fellow professionals in a casual, creative setting.
Date: Thursday, September 18 Time: 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Event Itinerary:
5:30 PM: Gather at the stairs of the India Point Park overpass.
5:30 PM - 6:30 PM: Enjoy a sketching session around the park. BYO sketching materials.
6:30 PM onwards: Walk to the Narragansett Brewery to socialize and continue the conversation over drinks.
