NOFA RI On-Farm Workshop: Storage Carrots

Amy and Andrew Smith of The Local Patch will host a morning discussion of everything storage carrots. They’ll explain the step-by-step process, from staling a seed bed, successional seeding in July, to irrigation, weeding, maintenance and a dig. After the carrots are out the of the ground, the farmers will demonstrate the wash and prep process using their new barrel washer. Light fare will be provided.
