This wholistic, sustainable landscape, for a nationally recognized, community-based non-profit is a model for future urban renewal projects in underserved communities. Our challenge was to build a meaningful landscape to serve their mission, to build community by offering a cohesive educational and performance experience to residents of this community and city. The parklet restores site ecology, recycles water, adds outdoor classrooms/recitals spaces immersed in nature, on restored soils and surfaces that extend to the street.
