Resilient Route 114 is a groundbreaking resilience plan for a critical regional transportation corridor in Rhode Island, addressing the area’s increasing vulnerability to complications that arise from persistent flooding due to escalating storm intensity and sea level rise. A collaboration between three municipalities and three State agencies led to an action-oriented plan that assesses current and future vulnerabilities, establishes conceptual alternatives for reducing coastal flood risks, and improves resilience in key areas throughout the region.
