The Mackerel Cove Resilience and Access Plan reimagines a beloved Jamestown beach as a model for coastal adaptation and community access. Guided by public input, the design raises the road and dunes, restores habitat, and integrates reef structures to reduce storm impacts. Enhanced accessibility, sustainable mobility options, and ecological features such as dune vegetation and shellfish reintroduction ensure that Mackerel Cove remains resilient, inclusive, and environmentally vibrant for future generations.
