In April 2021, RIASLA is both proud and honored to be offering the first annual Brent M. Narcawicz Memorial Scholarship.
The Brent M. Narcawicz Memorial Scholarship is provided for students who are pursuing an education in the field of Landscape Architecture. Two scholarships in the amount of $500 will be awarded for tuition, books, project supplies, etc.
Statement on Brent's life as an educator & landscape architect
1. Applicants must be:
A resident of the State of Rhode Island and be enrolled in an accredited landscape architecture program (undergraduate or graduate) at the college/university level
Enrolled in an accredited landscape architecture program (undergraduate or graduate) in the State of Rhode Island. Graduating seniors may only apply if they have been accepted into a qualifying graduate program for the following Fall. Prior award recipients may reapply.
2. Through your college / university, you will need to provide RIASLA with verification of your status as a student. Award payment will be made directly to the college/university.
3. All decisions made by the Scholarship Committee (a committee of 3-5 individuals appointed by the RIASLA Executive Committee) are deemed final, including the option not to award a scholarship.
Dates & Deadlines
Complete applications must be received by Monday, March 15, 2021 to be considered.
Scholarships will be announced during World Landscape Architecture Month on Friday, April 30th, 2021.
